As an 'unprogrammed Monthly Meeting', we meet for worship on the 'firstday' of every week, all Sundays at 11AM.

The meeting house is located at 4167 S. Normandie Ave., Los Angeles, California. Two miles South of the 10 Freeway, 1 mile West of the 110 Freeway. The MTA #206 Southbound stops in front of the house. the new "ExpoLine" is more than a mile of walking away. The MTA #40  the #740, and the #42  stop at Martin Luther King Blvd. & Normandie, a block and a half North. Our door is always unlocked.

Now that the Mayan calendar has rolled over, this world without war, without hunger and recongnizing the "Light" in everyone is where we're starting.

In our 8,000 volume library is a copy of our last meetinghouse warden's third book, a highly researched exploration of Mayan culture.

~~~~~~~~~~~
"Worship, according to the ancient practice of the Religious Society of Friends, is entirely without any human direction or supervision. A group of devote persons come together and sit quietly with no prearrangement, each seeking to have an immediate sense of divine leading and to know at first hand the presence of the living Christ. It is not wholly accurate to say that such a meeting is held on the basis of "holy obedience." Those who enter such a meeting can harm it in two specific ways: first, by an advanced determination to speak; and second, by advanced determination to keep silent. The only way in which a worshipper can help such a meeting is by an advanced determination to try to be responsive in listening to the small voice and doing whatever may be commanded. Such a meeting is always a high venture of faith and it is to this venture that we invite you this hour."
(Used August 28, 1948, in English, French, and German texts to prepare all members of the Amsterdam Conference for Worship in the manner of friends.)
